Let Go of Ego

Recently, I’ve been talking with my soul -- Duszka -- a lot. This connection has been stronger at certain times, then seemed to disappear, but now it’s back with a constant flow of messages and insights.
It has returned at exactly the right moment in my life, when I need a like-minded soul speaking to me in a quiet and peaceful voice. A voice free of emotions, projections, and expectations -- something that feels like pure essence communicating with me.
Today’s conversation was all about the ego. Even though I’ve built a good relationship with my ego, it still shows up tremendously at times -- really. And it’s not directed toward other people or external situations; it’s directed toward me, through my own inner dialogue, almost like a form of self-sabotage. Its presence can be so overwhelmingly strong that it affects my mood, my day, and ultimately everything around me.
There is a thin line between the ego and the thoughts that come from your mind. They are similar, but they are not the same.
So, my conversation was about two things. The first was a reminder to be happy from within -- to find joy in everything I do and make it a strong rule to live by.
To be happy while shopping, drinking coffee, walking, or simply moving through the day. And it’s not about being superficially or blindly happy; it’s more about appreciating every breath you take and being fully present in each moment.
This way, you continuously raise your vibration. Then, when low-vibrational situations arise -- as they inevitably will -- they have less power over you. Instead, they sink into a lake of higher vibrations and are transformed almost instantly into a potential, opportunities, or events that cause no real harm.
The second one was about letting go. We all know it, right? We sing songs about letting go (the famous one from Frozen!) and think we understand it, but our stuff still sits there -- because it is connected to our ego.
So what we actually need to let go of is the ego itself, especially its tendency to hold tightly to things that no longer work for us.
Letting go of the ego is a liberating moment for anything that is no longer serving us. And this is difficult because the ego can be strong, stubborn, and it simply likes things the way they are.
If you keep letting go and feel like nothing has changed, then most likely your letting go hasn’t passed through the ego’s resistance, an ego-wall. So first, observe and dissolve your attachment to the ego, literally dissolve your ego, release what it is trying to hold in place, and then truly let go.
My soul, Duszka, is right -- feels like there is something meaningful in this.
On another note, connecting with your soul is like recalibrating back to your essence -- what is truly you, who you really are. It might remind you of your childhood or certain hidden childhood moments.
For me, every connection takes me back years, to when I was around four years old -- this pure, joyful, laughing little child. It is something I lost for a long while, but I keep returning to it. Thank you, Duszka.
